Hello, do you realize that if its true that 90% of the players at the table are ‘losing players’, that makes the odds pretty darn good of making a lot of money if you are any good. I think that’s pretty encouraging. I always thought that most of the people at the table, especially in some areas are real solid hard core players that are very good.
Well I admire your capability of quiting
1 player in 2 rounds that is..pushing when your slightly behing and pulling when your slightly ahead is a good strategy……this guy is a losing player liker 90% of poker player…….like most business it will fail in the first year…….but that doesnt mean it ist worth finicaily pursuing if you have a high IQ and the desire to win alongside the will to learn.
the top pros have gone broken dovens of times its the swings of no limit. if ascess the mathematics you will win.
how many players will have 2 court cards at a full table…….1 in 2 rounds..this means opening with a 2 cards is correct.
I’m still trying to figure out what that is on your forehead..
some people got it, most dont! like everything in life. if u cant handle it emotionally then its time to give it up or have a good long break atleast. personaly i love the game too much. i lose some but i win a little more. been playing for 4 years. the more u play the more u start to gamble. the second u see yourself gambling its time to have a break and look at the game more objectively. gl all
I had a friend that played as well and we would talk about hand after hand, situation after situation for hours. He studied the books and I learned vicariously through him. After he moved I realized that I didn’t have the motivation to keep it up on my own. I still play online at small stakes tournies but I view it as entertainment now.
The book isn’t actually intended to get people not to play. It is supposed to get people to play reasonably and without emotional or superstitious interference. Still I found after reading it, like you, that playing itself was the emotional and unreasonable action that I was making.
“Your Worst Poker Enemy” is one of the reasons I quit playing. It really takes time and effort to get good and you have to constantly work at it. I didn’t have the drive.
